About Me:

My name is Paul and I’ve been gaming since I was 5 years old. I remember having to have my dad come swap out the games in the Commodore 64 for me before he showed me how to do it by myself. I’m pretty sure he was just tired of getting up all the time, haha.

I also remember watching my dad break out his soldering iron and soldering….things. I honestly don’t remember what he was doing only that I wasn’t supposed to ever touch the iron.

A few years ago I was in a used book and game store and I saw a shelf with a bunch of broken consoles. They had a NES there and I remember thinking “I can fix that.” Delusions of grandeur aside, I took it home, looked up how to replace the pins on an NES and fixed it.

That’s where the obsession started.

From there I’ve tried to fix as many consoles as I could get my hands on the more broken the better. Reviving “dead” consoles has become a passion. Allowing these consoles to be played again is rewarding on many levels and I want to share that with others.

I think people should be able to play whatever games they want to play. I think if someone wants to play one of these old consoles either again or for the first time they should be able to do that. I want to help anyone find the same happiness I found in games.
